John Medina is a developmental molecular biologist and research consultant. He is the director of the Brain Center for Applied Learning in Research at Seattle Pacific University. He also teaches at the University of Washington School of Medicine, in its Department of Bioengineering.
He has written a wonderful book on the brain and how it works called “Brain Rules: 12 Principles for Surviving and Thriving at Work, Home, and School”:
The book also comes with a very insightful and entertaining DVD where John Medina himself walks you through each “brain rule”.
Here’s a mindmap that illustrates the “brain rules”. Click on mindmap for full view:
I highly recommend this book and companion DVD. Mindmapping is all about helping you to organize and manage information more effectively, efficiently, and creatively. Mindmapping works in concert with how your brain works. This book helps you to understand your brain better.
